My wings lift me up and take me far,
I travel through the world unknown.
Searching and gliding on a breath of air,
For things that are really never there.
I dream dreams of magical things,
Lives and hopes of things to come.
It’s a fantasy land where I belong,
Times of love and adventures to be had.
Oh, what I would give to be there,
In some castle with long flowing hair.
Romance a vampire or quest with knights,
Turn into a Centaur and gallop out of sight.
Fly on a dragon with the greatest of ease,
Join the circus and learn the trapeze.
Maybe become a wizard or even a witch,
Jump through time and be where I wished.
Ancient Civilizations to the Medieval Realm,
Scotland; Ireland; all the things to be found.
Captivating stories that hold you in place,
Powerful things that one must face.
It makes me sad when I sit and think,
Of things that I long for and those I Miss.
I want to be free as you can see,
I don’t fit in; my world isn’t for me.
But for now I guess I just have to be,
A dragonfly dreaming of her fantasy world.

Welcome to my little fantasy world.

Don’t you ever feel like you want to escape or want things to happen to you like they do in Books or Movies? Well I sure do. Wouldn’t it be nice if we could be whisked away and have no more worries, or live a life full of adventures and mystery? Long for things you can never have? Well I guess we all do at times. I decided that since I really can’t run away and have a fantasy life, I might try and live out one on my site instead.

I also dream of being a good drawer, photographer and writer, but that would be another fantasy world I guess. What I am going to do though is try – so please don’t laugh too hard at my attempts. I am slowly building this site to help myself escape, to try and create (if I can). Hopefully one day I become good at something and can make your jaw drop with awe, but for now I’ll just take things slow trying to get there.
